In recognition of his excellence in research, teaching, service, public engagement, and outreach, on March 25, 2015, Blair T. Johnson was conferred the highest honor the University of Connecticut grants to faculty members: Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor. Dr. Johnson’s work on meta-analytic techniques, and his use of them to what spreads HIV and what interventions are effective, as well as the efficacy of various treatments for clinical depression, have received international attention. He has served several important scientific societies, including, currently, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, and has served on the editorial boards of many scientific journals. Most recently, he has served as senior editor of Social Science & Medicine. We congratulate Dr. Johnson on his many achievements and in joining David A. Kenny and Jeffrey D. Fisher as BoT Distinguished Professors.
