|Research Synopsis:||My research is directed toward identifying new insights about the psychological processes that underlie behavior, and harnessing these insights to promote health and prevent disease. In particular, I am currently interested in how people behave in healthy and risky ways as a result of a habit rather than a deliberate decision. This includes developing new tools for measuring the strength of a habit, testing the role of people and emotions as cues for habitual responses, and designing new intervention techniques that specifically target the psychological and behavioral processes that create and support habits.|
