Research Synopsis: Broadly, I am interested in exploring the influence of culture on health behaviors using innovative methods of data collection and analysis.  My main project explores the influence of food-parenting practices in weight gain and healthy eating of pre-school children of American and Latino families. I also collaborate with my advisor in projects that explore the influence of Spanish-English bilingualism in the development of personality.
